Easy to Read Reports
The Mold Fungal I.D. (FID) TEST
The Mold Fungal I.D. (FID), test’s for specific species of fungi known to be Pathogenic (disease causing) within the human body. These particular species of fungi commonly cause invasive fungal infections in human beings. This test is “specific”, as to the individual species of fungi, and yeasts, the results will read one of two ways:
· Negative (No Growth Detected)
· Positive Growth Detected
YEAST Detected: Candida albicans, Candida galabrata
Fungi Detected:
Aspergillus fumigatus (One Colony)
Alternaria (Three Colonies)
Penicillium notatum (two Colonies)
Patient Result: Positive
The FID test is a strong indicator of the presence of invasive fungal infections within the human body caused by one, or more species of pathogenic fungi.

This test is “specific”, as to the individual species of Mycobacterium, the results will read one of two ways:

· Positive Growth Detected

Bacillus cereus
Bacillus subtilis
M. Abscessus
